2026 Pediatric/Adolescent SAFE Course
November 3–5, 2026 // 8:00am-6:00pm

Our 40-hour Pediatric/Adolescent Course is accredited by International Association of Forensic Nurses (IAFN) and educates medical professionals on providing trauma-informed and culturally responsive care to children who have experienced sexual violence. The Pediatric/Adolescent course is a hybrid model, inclusive of a self-led online pre-course and live lectures over three days: two days over zoom and one in-person.
Please note: Completion of the waitlist form neither guarantees your participation in the course, or attendance at your preferred course.
Individuals with past SAFE experience and Pediatric Emergency providers will be prioritized.
Professionals who live outside of New York State, or who have not completed their medical training (residents) are ineligible for the Pediatric/Adolescent Course.

To be eligible for our Pediatric/Adolescent SAFE Course, participants must be a medical professional licensed in New York State, have one year of post-graduate clinical experience, have completed our Adult/Adolescent Course OR currently be employed in Pediatric Emergency Care, and currently be employed in a New York State Hospital emergency department OR employed in a hospital with an eligible SAFE program or pediatric clinic.
