SUPPORT THE ALLIANCE

For Philanthropy & Foundations

A future free from sexual violence is possible. Achieving it requires sustained investment in prevention, stronger systems of support, and the organizations working every day to create lasting change.

What Partnering Looks Like

We welcome support from foundations committed to advancing safety, equity, health, and well-being. Your investment can drive systems change, prevention, and training that helps communities across New York live free from violence.

We work closely with foundations and funders to align investments with shared goals, providing meaningful opportunities to support prevention, systems change, survivor support, and sector-wide capacity building.

The Future We Envision

We envision a future free from sexual violence. You can help. Survivors continue to face barriers to healing and justice, while the organizations that support them navigate increasing demand and limited resources. Sustained philanthropic investment is essential to strengthening prevention efforts and ensuring support is available when it is needed most.

How Change Happens

Change happens when prevention is prioritized, survivors are supported, and systems are equipped to respond effectively. The Alliance works across education, training, advocacy, and capacity-building to create lasting impact across New York.

Ways to Partner

By investing in prevention and survivor support, funders can drive meaningful progress across multiple issue areas while addressing one of the most pervasive forms of violence affecting our communities. Sexual violence is often overlooked as a standalone funding priority, yet it impacts nearly every area of community wellbeing.

“The Kering Foundation is committed to breaking the cycle of violence passed down from generation to generation. Supporting the “Dream, Own, Tell” program reflects our belief that lasting change starts with empowering young people to shape positive attitudes and behaviors in their communities. We encourage other funders to invest in The Alliance’s work to expand the reach of this impactful approach and help build a future where every young person can grow up free from violence.”

Impact Spotlight

The Alliance strengthens the response system for survivors by training healthcare professionals and other first responders to provide trauma-informed, survivor-centered care.

“The Alliance’s SAFE Training changed me as a provider. I noticed a real shift in how I approach my patients and I’m much more intentional about giving people the benefit of the doubt, trying to understand where their reactions might be coming from, and being more aware of the power dynamic in the room.

I’ve also started using trauma-informed language with all my patients, not just in sexual assault situations, and it’s genuinely changed the way my interactions feel. I can see the difference in how patients respond to me, and it’s really strengthened the trust in those encounters. I’m grateful for the ways in which this training made me a better, more mindful provider.”
